⛳ Golf Rules Night – All Members Welcome! ⛳
We’re delighted to invite all members – adult and junior – to a Golf Rules Night in the clubhouse on Monday 13th April, starting at 7.45pm.
The session will be delivered by Lucy Healy, Rules Official with Golf Ireland, and is suitable for players of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re an experienced golfer looking for a refresher or a newer or junior member keen to learn, this promises to be a practical and engaging evening.
Lucy will cover:
✅ Common on‑course rules situations
✅ Recent updates to the Rules of Golf
✅ Member questions and real‑life scenarios
A good knowledge of the rules helps speed up play, avoid unnecessary penalties, and makes the game more enjoyable for everyone.
We strongly encourage members to attend what promises to be a very informative and worthwhile session.

🏆 Junior Coollattin Cup Team Challenge 🏆
⛳️ Junior members enjoyed the beginning of competition for the 2026 golf season as the Team Challenge took place on Thursday, April 9th. The competition was run as a two‑person scramble, with the yellow 💛 and blue 💙 pairings battling it out proudly for their teams.
👥 Junior Captain Danny Fahy Nolan and Junior Vice‑Captain Cian Murray led out their teams, with an impressive 32 juniors taking part. The sense of team spirit was clear throughout the day, along with plenty of encouragement and support among the players.
👏 A big thank you to our Club Pro, Dermot Carroll, for making this special event happen in Coollattin. This was a first‑of‑its‑kind competition for our junior members, and those who took part are already looking forward to more of the same!
🍽️ Thanks also to The Darach Bistro at Coollattin Golf Club and their team for keeping our hungry golfers well fed after the round.
🙏 Appreciation to our junior committee, and to the parents and grandparents who accompanied and supported the teams throughout the competition.
📜 To round off a fantastic day, each participant received a certificate, and the Coollattin Cup 🏆 was presented to Cian Murray on behalf of Team Yellow 💛.
🌟 Well done to all our junior golfers – a brilliant start to the season! 🌟
