The 8th is a slight dogleg from left to right that favours a left-to-right ball shape off the tee. The fairway sits in an avenue of trees that opens up the further you go.
Length is a big advantage on this hole as the green is raised and shallow making loft your friend with your approach shot. The right hand side of the green is shallower than the left and is protected by 2 deep bunkers. If the pin is over here think twice about taking it on as anything short will leave a difficult chip or bunker shot and anything long will find big trouble over the back where you will be most likely blocked out by trees.
